Item Anthropometric Characteristics and Physical Performance of Young Elite Kosovo Soccer Players(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenThe aim of this study was to establish the anthropometric and physical profiles of young soccer players according to their playing position and to determine their relevance for competition success. One hundred and twenty young soccer players participated in the study. Players aged 19 were classified into the following groups: defenders (n=40), midfielders (n=40) and attackers (n=40). The anthropometric variables of participants (height, weight, body mass index, 4 skinfold, 2 diameters, and 2 perimeters) were measured. Also, their somatotype and body composition were calculated. Participants performed Bruce treadmill test protocol and Yo-Yo Intermittent Test to estimate their relative VO2max, sprint tests (5 m and 20 m flat), 2 jump tests (countermovement jump and standing long jump test), 3 tests for assessing agility (Illinois with balls and without balls, and 505-test) and seven fitness tests for assessing power, speed, agility, flexibility, frequency, abdominal muscle power and balance. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determinate differences between team positions. On the base of the obtained results, it can be established that players playing in midfield position have less body height, weight, and achieve less results in fitness tests Illinois 20-meter running, leg-tapping, sit-ups in 30 seconds, but better results in the tests ‘sit and reach’, ‘flamingo’ and the tests of assessing maximum oxygen consumption compared to the defenders and attackers. The attack players have less values in skinfolds and achieve better results in 5-meter running test and standing long jump compared to the midfielders and defenders. The obtained results can serve as normative morphologic-functional indexes for regular medical control of young footballers in the R. Kosovo. They can also be used as a model of comparison of morphologic- functional data between young footballers of similar levels in different countries.sed as a model of comparison of morphologic- functional data between young footballers of similar levels in different countries.Item EFFECT OF RECREATIONAL FUTSAL ON BODY COMPOSITION IN PASSIVE FOOTBALL PLAYERS(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, Arben; Myrtaj, NazimThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of recreational futsal on passive middle-aged footballers in body composition. Materials and methods. The research was conducted on a sample of 58 men aged from 30 to 40, average age 35.88 ± 2.39. The sample was divided into two groups. The first group included 29 passive football players (average age 35.58 ± 2.36) who were engaged in recreational futsal 2-3 times a week, and the second group included 29 passive football players (average age 36.17 ± 2.42) who weren’t engaged in recreational physical activity. The body composition was assessed by TANITA BC-601, the method of bioelectrical impedance, which became a reference method in research studies in the body composition analysis. The variables obtained were: body height (cm), body weight (kg), fat mass (%), muscle mass (kg), bone mass (kg), body mass index (kg/m2), calorie consumption – daily calorie intake (kcal), vitality of the body, quantity of water in the body (%), visceral fat (%). Results. Groups are not distinguished in the variables body height (HBH), calorie consumption – daily calorie intake (DCI), vitality of the body (BMR), and quantity of water in the body (TBV) because p > 0.05. In the variables where body mass, body fat tissue and muscle mass were assed, namely body weight (BWT), fat mass (BFP), muscle mass (TBM), bone mass (BMD), body mass index (BMI) and visceral fat (AVF), a statistically significant difference was gained p < 0.05 in favor of the group of passive football players who were involved in recreational futsal. Conclusions. It can be said that the recreational futsal as physical activity is an effective tool to improve body composition not only in passive football players but in all persons of all ages regardless of gender. Intensity and duration in recreational futsal is an effective way to reduce body fat in the population of passive middle-aged football players.Item Factor analysis of anthropometric and motor skills’ characteristics of 11 years old football players from different clubs in the city of Gjilan(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenThe study of this research aims to show various differences of anthropometric and motor skills characteristics of football players of 11 years old from different clubs in the city of Gjilan. Design/method: A sample of 5076 school children (2877) and adolescents (2199) from urban and rural areas from the region of Strumica (Macedonia). Physical fitness is estimated with 7 tests and that: standing long jump, sit-ups, bent arm hang, handgrip, sit and reach, speed-agility, shuttle run 4x10 and three-minute step test. The differences in fitness tests, anthropometric measures and body composition by place of residence were examined by one-way analysis of covariance. Results: Rural children and adolescent have lower height, body mass BMI and body fat % and had higher muscular mass % cardiorespiratory fitness and speed-agility (all p < 0.001), than urban young people. Regarding muscular fitness, the results differed depending on the fitness test selected. Rural children and adolescent had a better performance in standing long jump, handgrip strength bent arm hang while they had a lower performance in sit-ups in 30 s (all p < 0.001), compared to their urban peers. Effect size was small-medium (Cohen’s d = 0.1–0.5). Conclusion: children and adolescents from the rural environment show better results in cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle fitness of the upper and lower extremities and have better coordination, speed and agility in comparison with their urban peers. The place of residence, apart from other environmental factors, should be taken into account when building a state strategy and interventions through which it will promote physical activity and healthItem Standing-Long-Jump Test Application in Identifying Female Adolescents at Risk of Sarcopenic Obesity(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Maliqi, Arben; Sylejmani, BlerimThe identification of children and adolescents who are at risk of sarcopenic obesity development often requires specialized equipment and expensive test procedures. Therefore, the establishment of cheaper and faster methods would be greatly useful, especially if they could be applied in the field. The study’s objective was to establish if identification of female adolescents who suffer the risk of developing sarcopenic obesity can be obtained through the standing-long-jump test application. To achieve the research objectives, various anthropometric and body composition measurements were performed and lower limb explosive strength was assessed using the standing long jump fitness test. The research was conducted on a sample of 535 female respondents randomly selected from 9 elementary schools in the Skopje region of the Republic of North Macedonia. The respondents were divided into quintiles according to BMI z-scores, and the arithmetic means and SD about muscle-to-fat ratio were calculated for each quintile. The cutoff was determined based on the mean and standard deviation of the muscle-to-fat ratio for the 3rd quintile of BMI and the percentage of respondents with sarcopenic obesity was examined. The optimal cut-off value of the long jump fitness test results for predicting sarcopenic obesity in an adolescent girl showed that the area under the ROC curve was 0.781 (95 % CI 0.743–0.815). The standing-long-jump test values, on grounds of odds ratio (OR 95 % CI) about the girls at risk of sarcopenic obesity development, which was identified on muscle-to-fat ratio base, were 8.76 (4.39 - 17.54, p 0.001). It can be used to predict sarcopenic obesity presence in female adolescents, which can be vital in case of health intervention.Item STRUCTURE OF MORPHOLOGIC CHARACTERISTICS AMONG FOOTBALL PLAYERS - CADET AGE (14-16 YEARS OLD)(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenRealizacija trenažnog procesa i selekcija mladih djece u nogometu ne može biti potpuna, niti adekvatno planirana i programirana bez određenih podataka pomoću kojih pratimo provjeravamo i vrednujemo nogometaše kadeta kroz trenažni proces u Nogometu. Item THE DIFFERENCE IN SOME ANTHROPOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS, MOTORIC AND SPECIFIC MOTORIC SKILLS BETWEEN THE STUDENTS AND ATHLETES OF THE AGE 15(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Myrtaj, Nazim; Maliqi, Arben; Xhemajli, ArmendTo deal with sport activities, concretely with athletics, initially there should take place an early selection of children. Our search included 35 students’ athletes and 35 non athlete students. The overall number of 70 students of the age 15 were included in this research. There were applied 7 anthropometric variables, 6 motor tests and 2 motor specific tests as well. The main goal of this research was to determine the scale of difference between the two groups, respectively between the group of the non-athlete students and the one of the athlete students in some anthropometric characteristics, motor and specific motor as well. This work results show that training process within the frame of the athletics frame effects generally positively in positive development and transformation of human body in the aspect of morphological development, motor and specific motor aspects. All of it has been proved through reached changes of the students’ athletes groupItem THE IMPACT OF BASIC-MOTOR SKILLS IN SPEEDY LONG JUMP AND 60 METERS LOW START(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenThe development of any form of movement and even the simplest one cannot be accomplished without the proper level of motor skills. From this point of view, also the motor skills cannot be displayed without the presence of movement, according to the space-time characteristics as well as its respective intent. The sample in this paper was selected by the regular students of the high school "Marin Barleti" from Gjilan, for the realization of this research were included 75 students, aged 16, who through 7 basic motor variables and 2 criterion variables give us a realistic picture by confirming the purpose and the problem of this research. Based on the purpose and importance of this paper, which is the determination of the magnitude of the impact of basic motor variables (such as a prediction system) in this case in two criterion variables pertaining to the three discipline competition of school (60 meters running and speedy long jump) in this case was applied regression analysis. From the results achieved in the motor-basic space in two criterion variables have shown valid results: MKGJVR (sig.000), and MVR60M (sig.000), as well as for the completion of this paper we can emphasize that with the results obtained during the conduct of this paper has been achieved its main goal, the results achieved give us a realistic insight into the students' knowledge of the subject of physical education and sport, and in particular in athletics, which justifies the data and results of previous studies that analyzed similar issues and problemsItem The impact of the educational level of the family on the lifestyle of children before and during the COVID-19 pandemic(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Myrtaj, Nazim; Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenThe lifestyle of children is most affected by the family, which is defined as a basic social community based on the common life of a close circle of blood relatives, usually parents and children, in which biological-reproductive, economic and education functions are combined. The purpose of the research is to confirm the impact of the educational level of parents on the lifestyle of their children before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research included 110 students of both genders from SHMT “Mehmet Isai” and SHMAT “Arbëria” in Gjilan divided into two groups of 55 students, according to the educational level of their parents. The lifestyle survey included 8 questions on physical activity, daily cigarette consumption, alcohol, drug use, eating habits and sleep before and during COVID -19 pandemic. To verify the difference between the groups, the Chi-square test (χ² test) was applied. Survey analysis shows that children of parents with higher educational level have more knowledge about the role of physical activity and spend more time on physical activity, consume less cigarettes and alcohol and more regular eating and sleeping habits at the level p<0.00. We can conclude that the educational level of the parents has a significant impact on the motivation of children to engage in physical activity, reducing the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol, for sleep and regular nutrition.Item UTJECAJ MOTORIČKIH I MORFOLOŠKIH DIMENZIJA NA BACANJE KUGLE SREDNJEG ŠKOLSKOG UZRASTA(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Sylejmani, Blerim; Maliqi, ArbenRealizacija trenažnog procesa i selekcija učenice u atletici ne može biti potpuna, niti adekvatno planirana i programirana bez određenih podataka pomoću kojih pratimo provjeravamo i vrednujemo učenike kroz trenažni proces u nastavu fizičkog vaspitanja pedmeta u (Atletici). Dominantni cilj u atletici imaju motoričke sposobnosti i morfološke dimenzije i druge komponente kao kibernetika i trenažni proces u nastavu fizičkog vaspitanja.
