Adaptive cognitive dimension and maladaptive behavioral dimension as motivating factors in school achievement
    (AAB College, 2025-07-16) Vehapi, Shemsedin
This research examines a multi-dimensional model of student motivation and engagement. Through this model, the levels of development of factors that reflect increased motivation (adaptive dimensions) and those that reflect reduced motivation (maladaptive dimensions) among students are understood. The research was completed using the survey method, with student self-reporting answers in questionnaires on studied variables in their grades in schools. Research age group for this study was 200 students of Grades 10, 11 and 12 from public upper secondary school “Sami Frashëri” and students of private upper secondary school “Luarasi” in Prishtina. Selection of this sample utilized convenience method. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 statistical package for social sciences. The study found that adaptive cognitive dimension has positive effects on student school achievement and that maladaptive behavioral dimension has negative effects. The research also found that these two factors are significant in student achievement for this age group. The research may serve as a good orientation base for explaining the complex nature of relations of various factors with school achievement. The purpose of this research is to understand that both motivational factors (protecting factors) and demotivating factors (risk factors) are important for student school achievement. Another purpose is to understand levels of development of factors that reflect increased motivation and those that reflect reduced motivation.

Alternative Opportunities for Conducting Physical, Sports and Recreational Activities in the Conditions of the Covid-19 Pandemic
(AAB College, 2025-07-14) Rexhepi, Fadil; Pireva, Fatmir; Vehapi, Shemsedin; Gashi, Besim
The situation created as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic has paralyzed the normal life of human society almost all over the globe. In addition to disruption of health, education, economic systems, etc., this situation has seriously damaged physical sports and recreational activities. The necessity to keep fit makes athletes to constantly try and find ways to organize training, while minimizing the risk of infection. Some of these ways are: a) medical measures or continuous testing of athletes; b) ‘team quarantine’ for the longest period of time that minimizes contact with other additional people of the club members where he/she trains; c) maximum care for maintaining the minimum allowed distance and contact between athletes. Meanwhile, outdoor recreational activities can be more easily controlled. However, these ways are not sufficient, so the consequences will be irreparable for a long time.

Biomechanical description of the clean and jerk style of an elite Albanian weightlifter
(AAB College, 2025-07-16) Vehapi, Shemsedin; Rexhepi, Fadil
Olympic Weightlifting is the number one sport in Albania considering the numerous medals won in international events, such as the European and World Championships; however, we do not have a biomechanical model of technique performance of our elite lifters. Thus, the objective of this study was biomechanical description of the clean and jerk style, during performance of the elite athlete (EQ), the champion of 77 kg (Body mass) in last European Weightlifting Championships (2014). He was observed during his performance in clean and jerk style, just one month before the event with 194 kg. Three digital cameras were used, and the recorded material was processed by the System for Biomechanical Analysis (Ariel Performance Analysis System - APAS). Among the others we found the trajectory of the barbell, the vertical velocity of the barbell and displacement of the barbell. These results showed that the vertical displacement of the barbell during the first phase (F1) was 103.63 cm, the maximal velocity, which was attained during the second pull was 1.61 m/s, the time from the starting position until the barbell on the chest in the squat position was 0.8 sec, the dip before the jerk (F6) was 14.6 cm, the velocity of the barbell – 0.53 m/s. The results revealed that in the category of 77 kg body mass for men, the Albanian weightlifters have the same biomechanical parameters as the best lifters in the world. These findings can help weightlifting coaches to use these data as a model for other lifters. This study is limited to the analysis of the biomechanical parameters only to 75 % of his best results (194 kg, gold medal in European Weightlifting Championship - 2014).

CINEMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE KICKING LEG VELOCITY AND ITS POSITION DURING PERFORMANCE OF THE MAWASHI GERI TECHNIC ON TARGET
(AAB College, 2025-07-14) Rexhepi, Fadil; Vehapi, Shemsedin; Pireva, Fatmir; Gashi, Besim
In this study is analyzed the kicking leg velocity and its position during performance of the technique by mawashi geri on target. The technique is performed by seven athletes with a maximal engagement on target. The target is fixed at a 1,8m height from the floor. All athletes are of male gender, with solid experience in karate sports and are black belt carriers. The analyzed results reflect the velocity of the kicking leg, including the knee and hip angles for both lower limbs. The maximal kicking leg velocity is 13.97 (m / s) and this is achieved before the target is kicked, or 76.74% of the movement trajectory. The angle on knee at the moment of the peak velocity is 118.14 °, while at the kicking moment; the angle achieves a value of 163 °. The hip angle of the kicking leg is smaller during the peak velocity 112.71 °, while at the moment of kicking the angle achieves the value of 108.42 °. On the supporting leg the knee angle value is almost the same with the moment of the peak velocity and the kicking moment (about 155). Meanwhile, the angle on hip joint of the supporting foot at the moment of the peak velocity is 125 °, respectively 122 °. The obtained results indicate an attempt to reduce the velocity just before the kicking and at the moment of kicking target, which probably presents practice achieved during the training process. The supporting leg takes angles that responding to the balance maintenance, while the kicking leg tends to be more stretched on knee in order to empty all its energy.

LEASURE TIME ACTIVITY AMONG STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITY OF PRISHTINA, FAKULTY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT
    (AAB College, 2025-07-16) Vehapi, Shemsedin
This paper presents the results of the research on the physical activity of students in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” Kosovo. The purpose of this cognitive study was to diagnose certain aspects of the lifestyle of students, with a particular focus on physical activity and, the difference in sex. The practical aim, however, was an indication of such actions, arising from past experience that would aim at improving lifestyle, and could lead to the elimination or prevention of certain causes of not making movement activity by the students in our country. For the sake of clarity, first the term of leisure requires clarification. For the first time it was defined during an international conference held in 1956. As defined by the French sociologist Dumazedier [4], leisure means all the activities taken by an individual for entertainment or self-development, voluntary participation in social life out of social and family responsibilities. This definition considers only adults. In turn, according to Dąbrowski [3] leisure time of young people is the time, which remains to their own disposal after fulfilling their body's needs and completing the duties at home and school, in which they can conduct their activities in agreement with their tastes, related to leisure, entertainment and satisfying their own interests.
