Abstract

The work in this study was done for the best recognition of the performance in the local administration. In this way, research was conducted on the local administration of the municipality of Podujeva. Wanting to identify the needs for raising the professionalism in the local administration and the level of evaluation of public services in the municipality by the citizens. During this paper, I have tried to answer the questions raised in the hypotheses in the clearest way. In Kosovo, there are laws for the organization and operation of the administration, but the problem lies in the applicability of their principles. Non-professionalism, non-transparency, non-accountability and party-based employment is a challenge in the local administration of the Republic of Kosovo. In this way, the study was developed with a questionnaire, the results of which confirm the hypotheses raised in this research.
