Abstract

The imperative for rapid application development necessitates robust and readily accessible online compilation environments. However, the performance characteristics of these platforms, influenced by underlying infrastructure, optimization strategies, and specific compiler implementations, can significantly impact execution velocity and system resource utilization during both compilation and program execution. This thesis presents an empirical investigation into the performance of online compilers. Specifically, it evaluates the execution of the algorithms, implemented in three distinct programming languages and across four different online compiler platforms. The primary objective is to rigorously assess each compiler's efficiency concerning execution time and resource consumption. The resultant analysis offers a comprehensive comparative overview, delineating the respective advantages and limitations of utilizing diverse online compilers within various development paradigms. These findings aim to inform developers in selecting the most suitable online compilation environment tailored to their specific project requirements and performance expectations.
