Abstract
Preschool educators face daily emotional challenges that require self-control, empathy, and strong communication skills in their interactions with children, colleagues, and parents. Emotional intelligence supports stress management and professional responses, while effective communication ensures cooperation and clarity within institutions. The connection between these competencies is essential for fostering a positive environment and supporting children’s development. This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and effective communication among preschool educators. A quantitative approach was used through a structured questionnaire, involving 100 educators from public and private preschool institutions in the Municipality of Prizren, licensed by MASHTI. Data were analyzed using SPSS and descriptive statistics. The findings indicate a moderate to high level of emotional intelligence and effective communication among educators. A positive and statistically significant relationship was found between the two variables, showing that stronger emotional competencies lead to more effective professional communication. The study highlights the importance of emotional intelligence in improving pedagogical practices in early childhood education.
