Adolescence constitutes a critical phase of academic, emotional and social development, during which parental influence remains a key factor in shaping young people’s behaviors. In this context, parental academic support - manifested through monitoring, communication, homework assistance and educational guidance - appears as a protective mechanism of particular importance. The increased use of technology and easy access to the Internet has led to a significant increase in cases of Internet addiction among adolescents, a phenomenon that is associated with academic distraction, decreased school performance, social difficulties, and psychological consequences. A review of the literature shows that family factors, especially the level of perceived parental support, have a direct impact on how adolescents use the Internet. Studies suggest that consistent parental involvement is associated with lower levels of problematic online behaviors, while a lack of support or family conflict increases the risk for developing addiction. This paper contributes to the understanding of the theoretical mechanisms linking parental academic support to responsible internet use among adolescents, by providing an in-depth analysis of existing studies and identifying research gaps in this area. Finally, the paper offers practical recommendations for parents, educational institutions, and professionals in the field, as well as suggestions for future research that could further explore this complex relationship.Item Identification of Children’s Needs through the Application of Different Forms of Observation(AAB College, 2026-10-28) Boshnjaku Jaha, FletaThe study addresses the importance of observation and documentation in identifying the developmental, social, emotional, and educational needs of children in preschool institutions in the Municipality of Prishtina.
