(AAB College, 2025-11-10) Pireva, Fatmir; Vehapi, Shemsedin; Hyseni, Vlora
Nutrition plays a crucial role in sports. Diet has an important role in human health, especially when the nutritional needs have to be adjusted for different sports. The aim of this study was to find how did COVID-19 impact nutrition and physical activity among students of AAB college. A survey was conducted among students of AAB College from 12- 30 April 2023. The survey link was spread to students using Email. Questionnaire included questions regarding: height, weight, physical activity, nutrition, food supplements, during COVID-19 and after COVID-19. A total of 296 students completed the questionnaire, consisting of 211 females and 85 males. Economics had the highest number of students (22.3%) and Mass Communication had the lowest (2.4%); the statistical test (Chi-square) shows a significant difference between the fields. Wilcoxon signed-rank test indicates a significant difference, there is a notable difference in BMI between during COVID-19 and after COVID-19. Consumption of meat and cereals changed significantly during and after COVID-19 (χ² = 9.33, p = 0.003), χ²= 20.06, p = 0.000. Consumption of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and foods high in fat, sugar, and salt did not change significantly. Physical activity levels during and after COVID-19 also showed a significant change (χ² = 4.96, p = 0.033), indicating that some students started exercising again. Consumption of meat and cereals changed significantly during and after COVID-19 and the importance of wellbeing (nutrition, physical activity) can be used as an incentive to maintain an active lifestyle and healthy food consumption

The Relationship Between Students’ Nutritional Status and Their Physical Activity
(AAB College, 2025-07-17) Myrtaj, Nazim; Pireva, Fatmir
The research was carried out on a sample of 1000 (500 male and 500 female) students randomly selected from several faculties within the AAB College in Pristina, Kosovo. Respondents were treated in accordance with the Declara tion of Helsinki. For the assessment of physical activity, the international questionnaire (InternationalPhysical Activity Questionnaire IPAQ). To assess the state of nutrition, morphological parameters were applied: body height, body weight and body mass index. Descriptive analysis, non-parametric technique of difference within the group as well as regression analysis were applied to process the results. The obtained results show that the average height of the student population is Mean = 174.74±8.6; body weight, mean= 70.88±12.7; body mass index, Mean = 23.1±3.3. The prevalence of overweight is 26.1%, while obesity is 2.8%. The results obtained are almost the same as the countries in the region. The survey for the assessment of physical activity indicates an insufficient involvement of students in physical activities that corresponds to the prevalence of overweight. When asked how much time you usually spend sitting during a working day, the prevalence of 2-7 hours is 84.6%. Regression analysis shows a correlation between inactivity during the day and body mass index. The data show a trend towards increasing obesity in the student population and this is an extremely powerful reason for: the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports, for the Ministry of Education, for Universities and Colleges, tocreate conditions for the highest possible participation of students in sports and recreational activities

THE EFFECT OF ADDITIONAL AEROBIC TRAINING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOME MOTOR SKILLS IN HANDBALL
    (AAB College, 2025-07-17) Myrtaj, Nazim
This longitudinal research character has intended to establish the impact of aerobic exercise of extra character in the training sessions on several motor variables in order to achieve results in handball. The sample has included 15 cadet members of the Handball Club Zhegra as an experimental group and 15 cadet handball-players of the Handball Club Drita as a controlling group. The motor assessment skills of new handball players has been done in two periods of time before and after the additional program of aerobic exercises in each training session (15 minutes ride with ergo-bicycle with a speed of 30 circulations per minute with a load of 25 W). There were three training sessions held per week, or totally 36 training sessions. Considering the motor skill, evaluation 9 variable latency space covering motor field has been applied. In order to process with the results, the Independent Samples Test has been applied. The variable quantitative survey shows that there has been a statistical quantitative change between the experimental group and the control group. The obtained results show that additional exercises of the aerobic character in the preparatory phase with the cadet handball players has a particular impact in speed and coordination as a motor skill to have an impact on the handball players’ performance. In the handball game, it is important that scheduled treatment trainings at these ages should be filled with exercises of aerobic character, because these exercises have an impact on aerobic capacity, and they also have an impact on physical motor capacity, similar to movement structure (in the case of this research to speed the execution of motor tasks, speed, coordination and agility).

SPORTS AND LEVEL OF DEPRESSION IN YOUNG SPORTSMEN
    (AAB College, 2025-07-17) Myrtaj, Nazim
In the beginning of the 21th century, many circumstances took place in Kosovo which were very disturbing and had terrible impacts among people here. War, social crisis, changing and at the end transition, led to a permanent tension state and the same is meant to be considered as normal until reaching a certain degree. In these situations the level of depression among adolescents can be higher. The intention of this research has been to verify the level of depression among adolescents and young sportsmen, precisely sport influence on the level of depression. In this research are included total of 130 respondents, 65 disciples and 65 young sportsmen from Kosovo. Survey was anonymous, and included disciples and sportsmen respondents, were 17-18 years of age. Descriptive statistics and procedures for determination of the importance of diversity between arithmetical average (t-test and variable analysis) are the statistical analyses that were used. The final results after statistical processing show that, young sportsmen have lower level of depression than their colleagues that do not do sports. We can conclude that, by doing sports we can contribute toward decreasing the level of depression.

IMPACT OF LEGS X DEFORMATION IN MORPHOLOGICAL DEVEL OPMENT WITH WOMEN
    (AAB College, 2025-07-17) Myrtaj, Nazim
The purpose of this research was to ascertain the impact of the deformities of legs X of morphological development with women. For this purpose, thirty five students with X leg deformation and thirty five students without the deformation (Seventy altogether) aged 18 and 19 have been included. There have been15 anthropometric variables applied, three longitudinal dimensions variables, four variables from bodily volume dimensions, three variables from transversal dimension and five variables of under-skin fold dimensions. Anthropometric measurements were performed according the International Biological Program (IBP). Results show that the deformations of the leg X with women have significant impact on morphological development. This effect is manifested as a result of reduction of the leg muscle endurance as the main factor to perform physical activities, then getting as many calories as possible and their insufficient consume as a result of insufficient movement.
