Item Biomechanic analysis on the slalom turn speed with top skiers(AAB College, 2025-07-14) Metaj, ZenelSkiing is accomplished under special racing conditions, including environment (tracks, trails), which has specific characteristics. Studying the techniques of alpine skiing is difficult to be realized under laboratory conditions, therefore the research should be accomplished in conditions that are defined by the environment or the race tracks. In order to determine the effectiveness of the slalom certain passages of tracks which differ in features in slalom races were selected. In order to have accurate recorded data that represents the slalom technique, speed was selected as the most important biomechanical parameter that characterizes the cinematic space of alpine skiing. With the analysis of the results and statistical processing, the conclusion is that the speed in given stages of the curve of slalom changes. By comparing athletes and non-athletes, the research analyzes differences in dietary behaviors, body self-assessment, and awareness of weight and physical health. The sample consists of 168 students from two high schools in the city of Gjilan: the Social Sciences Gymnasium “Zenel Hajdini” and the Natural Sciences Gymnasium “Xhavit Ahmeti,” of whom 53 are athletes and 115 are non-athletes. The study follows a quantitative approach with a correlational-descriptive research design. Three main hypotheses were tested through statistical analysis, focusing on the relationship between physical activity, eating patterns, and BMI. The results show that, in general, athletes demonstrate greater dietary discipline and higher awareness of the impact of nutrition on their health and performance. They also tend to be more self-critical regarding their bodies and exhibit a stronger drive for continuous physical improvement. In contrast, non-athletes report higher satisfaction with their body image, but often display less favorable eating habits, such as greater consumption of unhealthy foods and sugary drinks. However, BMI analysis did not fully support the hypothesis that athletes have lower BMI—some athletes showed higher BMI values, likely due to increased muscle mass. The hypotheses regarding the influence of athletic status on eating habits and the role of nutrition in BMI were partially supported, suggesting that the relationship between sports participation, nutrition, and physical health is complex and influenced by other factors such as body composition, cultural attitudes towards food, and individual awareness. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of engaging in physical activity not only for physical health benefits but also for fostering a healthier relationship with one’s body and food. Athletic involvement may serve as a protective factor in promoting sustainable lifestyle habits and positive body self-perceptionItem KRAHASIMI I EFEKTEVE TË PROGRAMIT TË FITNESIT KANGO DHE STËRVITJES MUSKULORE NË KOMPOZICIONIN TRUPOR DHE AFTËSI MOTORIKE: STUDIM EKSPERIMENTAL ME DY GRUPE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Deda, ElaThis experimental study was conducted at the "Seven Gym" center in Pristina with the aim of comparing the effects of two different types of training— Kango aerobic program and traditional weight training—on body composition and motor abilities in women. A total of 80 female participants, aged 19 to 30, were included in the study and divided into two equal groups of 40. All participants had more than three months of prior training experience and were consistently active throughout the study period. The first group followed the Kango aerobic program, which involved high-intensity dynamic movements using “Kango jumps” boots, while the second group engaged in a classical fitness program with weights and equipment designed to develop strength and muscle mass. To evaluate the effects, advanced measurements were performed using the TANITA BC-601 device, along with a series of functional tests assessing flexibility, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity. The results showed that the weight training group experienced significant improvements in muscle mass, bone density, handgrip strength, and daily caloric expenditure. This group also showed better performance in strength-based exercises such as abdominal crunches and pull-up bar holds. On the other hand, the Kango group experienced notable improvements in flexibility and aerobic capacity, as measured by the Rockport test. They also maintained a stable body fat percentage and reported higher hydration levels and a general sense of well-being. Statistical analyses revealed significant differences between the groups in key variables, with distinct benefits depending on the type of training. Muscle mass was positively correlated with bone density and caloric expenditure, while abdominal strength positively influenced aerobic performance. Flexibility, in contrast, showed no strong correlation with other motor components. In conclusion, both types of training proved effective in enhancing physical health, each in its own way. Weight training was more suitable for increasing strength and muscle development, while Kango training was more effective in improving aerobic fitness, flexibility, and subjective well-being. It is recommended that a balanced training program combine both methods to achieve comprehensive and sustainable physical developmentItem VLERËSIMI I USHQYERJES DHE STILIT TË JETESËS TE FUTBOLLISTËT U21 TË SC. “GJILANI” DHE FC. “DRITA”(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Rahimi, BlendDue to the higher energy consumption, physically active people also have increased nutritional requirements. In addition to other important factors for playing sports, such as good health and physical predisposition, adequate nutrition is a fundamental component. The athlete's diet should be well planned and individually adjusted based on the needs of the body characteristics, tendencies towards weight gain or loss, frequency, duration and intensity of training. Studies have shown that a well-balanced ratio of macro and micronutrients, with the support of supplements and adequate hydration, can significantly improve sports performance and play a key role in achieving the best results. An optimally designed nutrition program, with realistic and achievable goals, which are based on good, planned training, is the basis for successful practice from sports. Only fulfilled nutritional requirements can prevent deficits and improve sports achievements to the limit. Athletes expect extraordinary performances from their bodies. Without good nutrition, this is of course not possible. The influence of food is nevertheless extraordinary. It happens that with a wrong choice of foods and with the consumption of rations at the wrong time or even a lack of fluids, they immediately cause a sudden drop in performance. Therefore, nutrition together with exercise are the two main pillars for any successful sports programItem ANALIZA E DALLIMEVE NË PARAMETRAT TRUPOR NDËRMJET MESHKUJVE DHE FEMRAVE NË LOJËN E HENDBOLLIT: ANALIZË E RËNDËSISË DHE IMPAKTIN E TYRE NË PERFORMANCËN SPORTIVE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Berisha, AlbanaThis study aims to determine the relationship between physical development and body composition, as well as to identify differences between male and female handball players in terms of physical development and body composition. The research sample consists of players from the Kosovo Super League in handball. A total of (N=70) individuals participated in the study, including (N=35) male and (N=35) female handball players, representing both genders in this championship. The sample includes 11 morphological and body composition variables, which were analyzed using the "TANITA" measuring device. To assess differences between male and female handball players in anthropometric variables and body composition, an independent samples t-test was used to compare the mean values of the two groups. The results revealed statistically significant correlations between various morphological parameters and body composition components, including strong associations between muscle mass and visceral fat. Significant statistical differences were found between male and female handball players in most body composition variables, while certain components such as bone mass or density (ADEKO), body mass index (AIMTR), and visceral fat (AYNVI) did not show notable differences between groups. However, no significant differences were identified in body mass index (BMI) between the two groups. These findings support the proposed hypotheses, providing a deeper understanding of the body structure of male and female handball players and its impact on sports performance. The results of this study offer valuable insights into the relationships between morphological parameters and body composition among handball players, identifying statistically significant correlations and differences. These findings may be useful for optimizing training strategies and enhancing sports performance in handballItem VLERAT ANTROPOMETRIKE DHE MOTORIKE TË VAJZAVE TË GRUPMOSHËS U17 NË SHKOLLAT E FUTBOLLIT(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Restelica, GentritThis study aims to analyze and evaluate the morphological characteristics, motor and specific movements of girls in the U17 age groups in the Kosovo Super League. The focus of the study is on 6 morphological variables: (6) motor skill variables and three changes related to the skills of all. differences between girls in different positions on the field of play (defender, midfielder, attacker). The methodology is based on standardized and controlled measurements from 4 clubs with 15 players each with a total of 60 girls part of the women's super league. The first results of the results of some differences in motor values between players according to them, with attackers showing the highest speed and midfielders staying better aerobic. The impact of anthropometric and motor variables on the performance of the situation is clear and statistically clear. At the same time, the 4x5 meter ball control test of the most dangerous model (R² = 0.953), where both lateral coordination (sideways) and squat-stretching frequency vary, are injured (p < 0.01). Meanwhile, anthropometric measurements did not show statistically significant differences between groups. The findings of the studies are of importance to coaches and specialists, as they provide an objective basis for the selection and implementation of exercises adapted to the conditions of the players. In conclusion, the study contributes to the enrichment of the literature on women's football in Kosovo and the need for more research in this field.Item DALLIMET NË REALIZIMIN E ELEMENTEVE TEKNIKE NDËRMJET FINALISTEVE NË KAMPIONATIN EVROPIAN TË VOLEJBOLLIT PËR FEMRA 2023(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Buzuku, LeutrimThis study aims to examine the differences in technical efficiency in volleyball performance among four groups: the Turkish national team, the Turkish rivals, the Serbian national team, and the Serbian rivals. A total of thirteen (13) technical performance variables were included, divided into four main categories: serving (3 variables), reception (4 variables), attack (5 variables), and blocking (1 variable). The primary goal was to determine whether statistically significant differences exist among the groups regarding technical game performance. Statistical analysis was conducted using ANOVA, followed by Duncan's post hoc test, to identify specific group differences. The results showed that national teams generally performed better across most technical components compared to their rival teams. The Turkish team stood out in terms of the number of aces and percentage of highly successful attacks, while the Serbian team showed better efficiency in reception and points earned from blocking. The Serbian rivals were the weakest group in variables such as service and attack, while the Turkish rivals struggled more in positive receptions and committed more reception errors. Statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) were found in some variables, while others showed clear practical differences without strong statistical significance. Differences between the Turkish and Serbian national teams were minor and often not statistically significant, indicating a relatively similar technical level. The research hypotheses were only partially confirmed. These findings suggest that improving certain technical components—especially among rival teams—can directly impact game outcomes. The study emphasizes the importance of detailed statistical analysis in helping coaches and staff develop targeted training and game preparation strategies. In conclusion, this research provides a clear overview of the technical strengths and weaknesses between the analyzed groups, contributing to the development of performance analysis in volleyball and offering practical recommendations for improvement in specific areas of playItem ROLI I EDUKIMIT FIZIK NË ZHVILLIMIN SOCIAL DHE EMOCIAL TË FËMIJËVE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Kelmendi, KelmendThis study seeks to acquaint the reader with the importance of social-emotional learning, as an important and current demand that is placed before our school and in general before the education of the new generation. The social and emotional development of students, not only in us, but also in the outside world, has attracted attention for its importance, actuality and insight. There is no doubt that physical education also plays an important role in the social-emotional development of students. This is in an effort to build the mental and physical capacity of students. For this very reason, we have collected data from literature reviews, which have been used as the main source in the research of numerous studies. The research results are based on the research questions and keywords, from which we found local literature and articles, the results of which match the research questions of this study. According to the findings of the analysis, student success, academic knowledge and other, are closely related to the growth of students in social-emotional learning, and that physical education is an environment where the subject program or curriculum with elements of social-emotional learning can be successfully implemented in our schools.Through social and emotional learning, students can learn to identify and control their emotions, create healthy relationships, set goals that are worthwhile, fullfill their own and others needs, make ethical judgments, and choose problems. So far we have not had any such research. In addition to the main values of this research, we are aware that there may be gaps in it, as this research is the first evidence for a relatively complete and new treatment of social-emotional learning in Kosovo. We hope that this study will provide broader, more complete, more solid knowledge, to complete and strengthen the belief that social-emotional learning should be an integral part of all subject programs or, as it is used to be called subject curriculaItem ZHVILLIMI I TURIZMIT SPORTIV, REKREATIV DHE WELLNESS(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Imeraj, AlketaSport, recreational, and wellness tourism represents one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing forms of modern tourism, combining physical activity with well-being and relaxation. It has become an important component of the economic and social development of many destinations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of sports and recreational activities on increasing tourism attractiveness, as well as to evaluate the role of wellness programs in promoting a healthy lifestyle through tourism. The health benefits of physical activity are numerous, particularly in relation to cardiovascular health, including the reduction of blood pressure, improved insulin sensitivity, and better lipid profile regulation. These benefits reinforce the link between physical activity and tourism, creating a form of tourism that not only entertains but also educates and improves quality of life. This paper aims to provide a clear overview of the potential of sport and wellness tourism in building an inclusive and sustainable tourism industry, while proposing concrete strategies for its development and promotion both nationally and internationally.Item REKREACIONI SPORTIV SI KOMPONENT I RËNDËSISHËM I MËNYRËS SË JETESËS MODERNE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Bunjaku, BulzaIn the context of modern life, characterized by technology, sedentary work, and lack of movement, sports recreation has gained special importance as an essential component for maintaining and improving physical and mental health. Recreational sports activities offer an effective way to compensate for the lack of movement associated with urban lifestyles and stressful daily routines. These activities help not only in strengthening the cardiovascular and muscular systems, but also in reducing stress levels, improving mood, and preventing psychosocial disorders. Sports recreation promotes the development of healthy and sustainable habits for spending free time, improving quality of life and overall well-being. It plays a preventive and therapeutic role, positively influencing body weight control, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the management of chronic diseases. Moreover, participation in recreational activities creates opportunities for social inclusion, cooperation, and community building, especially in urban environments. This paper aims to emphasize the importance of integrating sports recreation into daily life as a powerful mechanism for improving health and balancing personal and professional life in an era characterized by limited movement and increased stress.Item ANALIZA DHE KRAHASIMI I PËRBËRËSVE TRUPORË TE BASKETBOLLISTET NGA KLUBET E BASKETBOLLIT ATHINAIKOS & ANTAIOS BC DHE KBF PRISHTINA(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Rrahmani, AgnesaThis study aims to analyze anthropometric measurements and assess their impact on the sports performance of elite female basketball players. The research included a total of 32 basketball players from the Athinaikos BC team and Antaios BC from the Greek Super League, comparing them with those from the BC Prishtina team, who were measured for parameters such as height, weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass and other body indices through Tanita analysis, where all data were accurately analyzed by the SPSS program using descriptive analysis. In addition, the research method was also used through a questionnaire conducted by me with the participation of 45 active female basketball players from the Kosovo Super League, where the results showed that some of these body indicators, especially muscle mass and fat percentage, are directly related to the main elements of basketball performance, such as strength, jumping and endurance. This shows that anthropometric measurements can be a valuable tool to better understand the physical needs of athletes and to help in their preparation. The study provides data that can be used by coaches and physical training specialists to build more effective and personalized programs for elite athletes.Item EFEKTI I PROGRAMIT TË PUNËS BAZUAR NË 36 SEANCA STËRVITORE NË PERFORMANCËN E FUTBOLLISTËVE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Ramadani, BersThe purpose of the paper is to prove and analyze the physical preparation before and after 36 training sessions, by performing the initial measurements before the beginning of the 36 training sessions and after the end of the 36 training sessions. These measurements were taken at the "SC Gjilani" Football Club. The sample included 22 footballers from the "SC Gjilani" Football Club, in these measurements we applied 3 measurements to the variables of functional abilities, 3 measurements of explosive strength, 3 measurements of repetitive strength and 3 specific motor measurements. To determine the difference Between the variables of functional abilities, explosive strength, repetitive strength and specific motor variables, we applied the analysis of differences Paired Samples Test, T-Test for the dependent group. The results we have obtained after processing and interpretation show that the tests to which they have been applied meet the criteria for application because the results we have obtained show that there are no big differences, which we have verified through the test of asymmetry (Skewnees), the test of Kolmogorov and Smirnov (KS). The differences Between the initial and final measurements show that the applied methods have influenced the increase of motor skills, functional and specific motor skillsItem NDIKIMI I AKTIVITETIT FIZIK TË PLANIFIKUAR NË TRANSFORMIMIN MORFOLOGJIK DHE MOTORIK TE NXENESIT E MOSHES MBI 17 VJEÇ(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Osmani, MelisaThis study aims to analyze the effects of structured physical exercise on the physical and motor development of students over the age of 17 in the municipality of Gjilan during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research involved 80 students, divided into two groups: the first group consisted of students who participated only in regular physical education classes at school (twice a week), while the second group included students who, in addition to school physical education, were also regularly engaged in extracurricular sports clubs such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball, and karate. Three anthropometric indicators (height, weight, and Body Mass Index – BMI) were measured, along with ten motor tests used to assess components such as speed, strength, coordination, flexibility, and balance. Data analysis was conducted using statistical methods such as descriptive analysis, T-test, and correlation analysis. The findings showed that students who participated in extracurricular sports activities demonstrated greater improvements in both motor and physical aspects compared to their peers who were not regularly involved in sports. The most significant differences were observed in tests measuring explosive strength, flexibility, and balance. Moreover, a meaningful relationship was found between body measurements and physical performance. The study highlights the crucial role of organized sports activities in the psycho-physical development of youth and strongly recommends broader student participation in such activities through supportive educational policies.Item PREFERENCAT PËR AKTIVITETET REKREATIVE SPORTIVE DHE KARAKTERISTIKAT E MËNYRËS SË JETESËS TE POPULLATA E KOMUNËS SË DEÇANIT(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Dervishaj, QëndrimThis study identifies the factors that encourage citizens to take part in recreational sports and the barriers that keep them from doing so. Its goal is to give a detailed picture of active recreational living and personal lifestyle choices, and to examine the negative effects that harmful habits—smoking and alcohol use—have on residents of the city of Decan. The survey analyzed the health‑related behaviors of 142 adult residents of Decan Municipality (72 men, 70 women). A questionnaire collected data in five key areas: (1) participation in recreational sport, (2) tobacco use, (3) alcohol use, (4) dietary habits (meal frequency), and (5) sleep hygiene. Statistical analysis used the chi‑square test (α = 0.05) to evaluate gender differences. Key findings: Recreational physical activity: Only 11 % reported being actively involved; gender difference not significant (p = 0.366). Smoking: 68 % smoked ≥ 10 cigarettes/day; no significant gender difference (p = 0.46). Alcohol use: 18 % of men vs. 9 % of women drank “occasionally” or daily; the difference is statistically significant (χ² = 10.20; p = 0.00). Meals per day: 78 % ate only two meals/day; no gender difference (p = 0.19). Sleep: 77 % slept ≤ 6 hours/day and none reported 8 hours; no gender difference (p = 0.62). Overall, unhealthy behaviors (low physical activity, insufficient sleep, high smoking frequency, and limited meals) are widespread, while alcohol consumption is the only category showing a significant gender variation.Item ANALIZA E NDIKIMIT TË VEÇORIVE MORFOLOGJIKE DHE FORCËS SHPËRTHYESE NË PERFORMANCËN E LOJTAREVE TË EKIPEVE FINALISTE NË KAMPIONATIN EVROPIAN PËR FEMRA 2023(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Shabani, UrataThe primary aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact of morphological characteristics and explosive motor abilities on the performance of female volleyball players who participated in the final of the 2023 European Women's Volleyball Championship. Special focus is placed on the national teams of Turkey and Serbia, the champion and runner-up respectively, as well as their qualifying teams. The sample consisted of 216 athletes in total: 106 from the Turkish group and 108 from the Serbian group. Several key morphological and motor variables were selected and analyzed: age, body height, body weight, body mass index (BMI), spike jump height, and block jump height. The methodology included the use of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post Hoc-LSD multiple comparison tests to identify statistical differences between groups. The statistical results confirmed the validity of parametric techniques, although two motor variables demonstrated asymmetry, suggesting that non-parametric methods could also be considered. Importantly, no statistically significant differences were found in body height or spike jump height between the national teams and their respective qualifying teams. These findings suggest that such characteristics are standardized at the elite level and serve as fundamental selection criteria. However, a statistically significant difference was found in block jump height, where Serbian players outperformed their opponents from some qualifying teams. Additionally, Turkish players had a noticeably higher body mass index compared to Serbian players. These differences indicate varying levels of physical preparation and body composition. Although some variables did not yield statistically significant differences, they remain important indicators for talent selection and team development. Ultimately, the success of elite-level teams is not solely based on physical or motor parameters but also on factors such as experience, team cohesion, tactical training, and psychological readiness. This study offers valuable insights for coaches and sports professionals in selecting athletes and designing training strategies for modern elite volleyball.Item LOJA SI METODË E PUNËS PËR ZHVILLIMIN E AFTËSIVE LËVIZORE, TË KUPTUARIT DHE TË MENDUARIT KREATIV TË FËMIJVE NË MOSHËN PARASHKOLLORE(AAB College, 2025-11-26) Latifaj, VloraPlay represents one of the most natural and effective ways of learning during early childhood, particularly in the preschool stage. This paper aims to explore the role of play as a structured and purposeful method to stimulate motor skills, understanding, and creativity in children aged 3 to 6 years. Through physical activities, children unconsciously develop coordination, balance, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Regular and structured physical play supports not only the development of both fine and gross motor skills but also plays a crucial role in building self-confidence and fostering a sense of independence. Play also provides opportunities to promote learning processes, helping children understand rules, solve problems, and grasp cause-and-effect relationships. These experiences contribute significantly to the development of logical and linguistic thinking. Another essential aspect of play is the stimulation of creative thinking, which is fostered through role-playing, imaginative activities, and tasks that require invention and flexibility. Through play, children experiment with ideas, solutions, and new situations, using their freedom to explore and express their inner world. In conclusion, play should not be viewed merely as a form of amusement, but as an educational and methodological tool that contributes to the holistic and sustainable development of the child — physically, cognitively, and creatively. The role of the educator is vital in planning and guiding play activities to maximize their developmental benefits. The teacher can use play as a powerful medium to support all the above-mentioned dimensions of child developmentItem NIVELI I ANGAZHIMIT NË AKTIVITETET REKREATIVE-SPORTIVE DHE KARAKTERISTIKAT E STILIT TË JETESËS SË STAFIT AKADEMIK DHE ADMINISTRATIV TË KOLEGJIT AAB(AAB College, 2026-03-23) Daija, EmaSports recreation, as a distinct field of physical education, represents a fundamental component of a healthy lifestyle for modern individuals, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of physical, mental, and social health. Academic institutions, as high-intensity intellectual work environments, face a particular need to promote healthy lifestyle habits among their staff. The aim of this study was to examine the factors influencing participation in recreational and sports activities among the academic and administrative staff of AAB College, based on demographic variables and lifestyle elements. The study was guided by four research hypotheses, developed on the basis of contemporary literature addressing the relationship between physical activity, lifestyle habits, and health. Data analysis was conducted using the Chi-square test to identify statistically significant differences and relationships among the studied variables. The results showed statistically significant differences in participation levels in recreational and sports activities by gender, with males exhibiting higher engagement compared to females, confirming the first hypothesis (H1). Additionally, it was found that tobacco and alcohol consumption were negatively associated with participation frequency, supporting the second hypothesis (H2), in line with studies highlighting the negative impact of harmful habits on physical activity and health. The third hypothesis (H3) was confirmed through a positive and statistically significant relationship between engagement in recreational and sports activities and healthy lifestyle habits. Contrary to expectations, no statistically significant differences were found between academic and administrative staff, thus not confirming the fourth hypothesis (H4). In conclusion, the study confirms that gender and lifestyle habits are important factors influencing participation in recreational and sports activities, while professional role has no significant effect. The findings provide valuable theoretical and practical insights for understanding the factors that promote or hinder physical activity among university staff and can serve as a basis for designing institutional policies and recreational programs aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and increasing participation in physical activities.Item DALLIMET NË DISA VEÇORI ANTROPOMETRIKE DHE AFTËSI LËVIZORE BAZIKE NË MES TË GJIMNASTËVE DHE NXËNËSVE TË MOSHËS 13 DHE 14 VJEÇ(AAB College, 2026-03-23) Krasniqi, LiridonThis study aims to analyze and compare several anthropometric characteristics and basic motor skills between two groups of children aged 13 and 14: those who practice gymnastics and those who are not engaged in regular sports activities. A total of 57 participants were included in this study, divided into two groups: gymnasts and non-athlete students. Anthropometric indicators such as body height, body weight, body mass index (BMI), and limb circumference were measured. In terms of motor skills, capacities such as strength, speed, endurance, and coordination were evaluated. The results showed that gymnasts had a clear advantage in most parameters of basic motor abilities, as well as significant differences in certain anthropometric features, reflecting the positive impact of regular training on the physical and functional development of children. These findings highlight the importance of early involvement in sports such as gymnastics to improve not only motor performance but also overall physical development and health.Item VLERËSIMI I USHQYERJES DHE I STATUSIT USHQYES TË FËMIJËVE NË INSTITUCIONET PARASHKOLLORE NË KOMUNËN E PRIZRENIT(AAB College, 2026-03-23) Thaçi, ZgjimThis study aimed to assess the nutritional content of meals offered to children in preschool institutions, by analyzing food menus and investigating the knowledge and attitudes of educators and parents on healthy nutrition. The basic research question for this research is: What is the level of nutrition and nutritional status of children in public and private preschool institutions and to what extent do they meet the recommended standards of healthy nutrition? The basic hypothesis is: Nutritional practices in public and private preschool institutions are characterized by an average level of nutritional quality, which does not always fully comply with the recommended international standards for the nutrition of preschool children. It is expected that the differences between public and private institutions will not be statistically significant. The research is based on a mixed methodology (qualitative and quantitative), including menu analysis, questionnaires, interviews and direct observations. The population includes educators, leaders, parents from selected preschool institutions in the Municipality of Prizren. The questionnaires were analyzed with the SPSS program. While the qualitative data analysis was recorded in writing, which was used as part of the data analysis. The results of the research show that traditional foods, such as various dishes, cereals and vegetables, are used more often, but some industrial foods with added sugar and fat are also present on the menu. The daily menu is not always completely balanced, there is a regular lack of fruits 6 and vegetables, the appearance of processed foods. The findings also showed that children prefer industrial foods more than traditional foods. It is recommended: Drafting the food menu in collaboration with nutritionists, training for educators and parents on healthy nutrition, involving cooks and assistant cooks, increasing transparency and strengthening parent-institution cooperation. The results of this research will help the current system of child nutrition in preschool institutions and will contribute to improving food quality for a healthier development of children.
